In August 2011, Valve announced Counter Strike: Global Offensive, the most recent in the Counter Strike series. Slated for an early 2012 release, the new game within the Counter Strike series is becoming developed by Valve Software in collaboration with Hidden Path Entertainment for numerous platforms, including PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 besides PCs and Macs.
It originally began out as a CS: Source PC to Xbox port. However, throughout the development phase, Valve realized the port’s potential and finally decided to transform it into a full fledged new game. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what CS GO is all about and what its going to be like.
